Is it good? Probably not. However, I have an affection for those characters and that world, so I enjoyed the time spent watching it. 🤷‍♂️

    Argylle

    ★★★½

I found Argylle to be silly, stylish fun. Does the plot always make sense, probably not, but with Vaughn's visual flare, and the talented cast, I didn't really care. Rockwell and Cranston leave teeth marks all over the scenery, but in the best possible way. If you typically like what Vaughn does, go see it.

    ★★★★

Even though I'm a wrestling fan, to me The Iron Claw wasn't specifically about wrestling. It's an excellent meditation on how trauma can build up on itself. There are many excellent performances, but Zac Efron is haunting. Efron's thousand yard stare is deeply affecting, as he sees the ghosts of Kevin's past. A very moving film.

But, boy, that guy who played Ric Flair was the shits.

    ★½

A movie that has so much to say that it never gets around to saying anything at all. A compelling performance by John Boyega is hampered by an unfocused script. Michael K. Williams and Jeffery Donovan are wasted in bland supporting roles...and, in Donovan's case, that's being generous. His is little more than a cameo. Disappointing.
