Nosferatu 2024
"I am but an able tourist in this occult world. You were born to it. It is a rare gift."
So distressful. Just beautiful shots after beautiful shot, and then somebody having the most distressing thing ever happen to them. Then some more beautiful shots. I like that Eggers gets to make movies.

A Real Pain 2024
"But you light up a room and then you, like, shit on everything inside of it."
Kinda like a more self serious Darjeeling, but it works, mainly because Eisenberg and Culkin are just perfect for their spots.

Dune: Part Two 2024
“Long live the fighters.”
The scope of these movies remains insane to me. How does he do it? I don’t get it.
But incredible VFX and concepts aside, the all star cast lived up to their billing. From Chalamet to Bardem, Zendaya to Pugh, just high level performances.
And if that’s not enough, Hans Zimmer fills the background with another elite score.
Just a great experience.

Arrival 2016
"Despite knowing the journey... and where it leads... I embrace it... and I welcome every moment of it."
I don't know why I waited 2.5 years to see this movie, but I'm glad I never had it spoiled for me. Near perfect sci-fi, everything we've come to expect from Villeneuve at this point. Great peformances from Adams and Renner, as well as a brutal reminder of what we lost in Jóhan Jóhannson.

This was a great start to my April Scavenger Hunt, and makes me look forward even more to the rest of my list.
