Rating could definitely change as it’s one that has a chance to linger and grow on me. Very slow and contemplative, almost making it feel like a lazy summer weekend in Italy, beaches, breezy windows and all. Defs an early cronenberg. Good ideas and moments with cheaper moments like editing quirks or poor sound mixing that kinda kill the momentum/immersion. I do love how Canadian the setting is though. I feel like I grew up near every set lmao. Loved when the film went full funny/crazy (see mall/barn/metro scene). Great almost Christmas movie. That scene on the Montreal metro will have me spooked next time I visit
