Was looking really rough at the beginning but rebounded when the chip got changed and there was actually a compelling conflict. Some real Season 2 Livia Soprano shit going on on that ship.
If Allison Williams' character were real she would be by far the most attractive person in human history to have collectible toys on their shelf.
She is (unbelievably) unaffected by traumatic event after traumatic event that happens to those she knows or those she's around.
Kind of can't believe this movie is so widely well-liked. It's not terrible, but I feel like I'm missing something.
The highlight of my moviegoing experience here was near the end of the trailer for…
A strong movie with a great conceit to open it up. My main hang-up was that I felt the characters' guiding emotions (dourness in the case of Hae Sung, and ambivalence in Nora's and Arthur's cases) were tough to hang the entire movie on. That brief glimpse into Nora's work-life—and Arthur's signing for a book called "Boner"—made me wish I saw a bit more of the characters' exterior lives.
I certainly look forward to Celine Song's next film, though.
