Gran Turismo 2023
I genuinely enjoyed watching this movie, very cool concept, especially because it’s based off a true story. However, it was very predictable and followed the standard sports movie “based off a true story” plot: Character who comes from nothing and nobody believes in gets a chance to prove themself, start off slow then they start to perform better, something tragic happens, then everything turns out fine in the end. The two stars don’t reflect my enjoyment of the movie as I did like watching it. However the movie itself is very predictable and I never once thought to myself “wow this is amazing”

Dune: Part Two 2024
Truly is an amazing film. The sci-fi world tends to focus mostly on visuals such as big explosions and as a result the story telling falls short. While this movie did have amazing visuals, the story telling was also spectacular.
There’s so many big names in this film, however, Timothee Chalamet absolutely stole the show. His ability to connect with the audience and truly display what his character is feeling is outstanding.
