  This movie is so beautiful yet so fucked up at the same time. The exploration of trauma in this movie is incredible, as were the actors’ visceral portrayals of emotions. only watch if ur not depressed tho cuz this was lowkey detrimental🫠

  damn this a love letter to the queer youth that don’t quite fit anywhere. Authentic and packed with emotion and 90’s teen angst, this honestly was way better than the current Hollywood-produced queer stuff that’s often watered down or made to appeal to a mass audience. The surrealism in Araki’s later 2 parts of this trilogy are fun, I will admit, but in this one the pure focus on relationships, emotion and the characters is truly special.
