it’s not often that i think about the fact that not everyone will experience a specific piece of media. not often. it’s even less often that i get saddened by this fact. attack on titan is one of those cases. i could talk about this show for hours and hours and hours. i could finish the whole thing and start it right back from the beginning. i’m sad to think that this is really the last of it (excluding the manga) but it’s about damn time they wrapped this up. goodbye forever armin arlert.

The Substance 2024
the body horror of this movie disturbed me in a way that no other film has. as a friend greatly put it, "the pursuit of beauty is death." the substance intertwines the body, the mind, age, the industry, sexism and what it means to be human in such a disgusting yet effective manner. best movie i've seen this year.
