okay so this was fun and all but from the mind behind Parasite, I expected a more incisive resolution than ‘once we get the guy orchestrating this (after we’ve gathered ‘sufficient’ proof of his cruelty, as if there’d not been enough), the proper people in charge can take care of the system which is totally not the same system that let him rise up in the first place’.
extra points for that Pattinson scene, of course. though for anyone thinking this was the height of a clone performance: you need to see Tatiana Maslany in Orphan Black.

there’s valid criticisms of this to be made, sure, but this is a beautiful way to marry up a non-fiction manifesto and a story of ‘how’. I knew why everyone was there, I was rooting for them to succeed, and I believe in blowing up pipelines (and other direct action) even more than I did before — what more could I ask for from a fun heist film?
