Seen at BAMPFA on the closing night of Masc. I was struck at how familiar many of the dynamics felt to me: the phone conversation especially, and some discussions of the customer-host dynamic, which I hadn't expected at all. The closing credits scenes made me walk out of the theater a little taller.

Seen at BAMPFA the closing night of Masc. Watching a documentary about someone throwing their heart and soul into an MLM is uncomfortable, yes. But people who dismiss this documentary as "just an hourlong advertisement for Tupperware" are doing the 2024 equivalent of running out of the theater because there is a train coming towards the camera.
