it’s funny and heartwarming whilst heartbreaking. in the typical style of swedish cinema, the film is not about unusual people with extraordinary stories, but rather depicts a sliver of life and examines complex relationships in a classically swedish quirky way. each scene feels improvised, cause of the naturalism the actors provide (find me a swede that doesn’t mumble!). the filmography is heavily inspired (obvs) by ingmar bergman; especially the multiple 2s shoots of reactions. but moodysson uses…Translated from by -
