I’ve never seen a movie with more oppressive, intense summer heat.
One of my favorite climaxes from any movie.
All that heat, water, tall grass, silence, diegetic piano/singing, a face nearly hitting the camera, and the primal struggle from both actors all combine to create a quiet climax you’d expect to see in a movie like The Revenant.It’s the kind of exhilarating high point that should have been in High and Low.
