This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I had this near-certain sense sense that she would be assaulted at some point because processing that type of trauma is so often a central component of sexual liberation / loss of innocence narratives ... and in the scene where I initially think this is happening, she LAUGHS AT HIM! What a glorious reversal of expectation, and a joy to see new ways of telling familiar stories about the cruelty of men and the pleasures of sex.
