Rich and beautiful, fast paced, dense, compelling, massive recognizable cast, the best Wes Anderson and if you disagree you’re wrong. I think I just really like movies where Ralph Fiennes talks a lot.

Very fun, excellent interpretation of the commodification of femininity and really cranking the “nice, well meaning guy” trope to its logical conclusion. The mind games were interesting and fun twist. Sebastian stain is so good at playing a guy who’s doing his best to project normal but is totally unhinged in there. Honestly wish it was more violent though.

A Different Man 2024
This film made me feel everything despite the main character really doing nothing for me most of the movie. The cast across the board did a great job conveying the warped way society is and interacts with those who have disfigurements or disabilities. Visceral and disgusting but not in a body horror way, in a “ew people are really kinda like that” type of way. Also the Faustian bargain thing was fresh despite being such an old trope. Excellent.
