Kubo and the Two Strings 2016
The film's definitely pretty predictable but beyond that I can't help but love this film. The art style and animation are absolutely gorgeous, the dialogue is incredibly charming, and even though the story is predictable I still felt it was very competent and had no issue keeping my attention. The film is by no means mindblowing but it is thoroughly enjoyable and I wish I saw it sooner. I do have a feeling that it may not be the most rewatchable but that's completely fine with me, not everything needs a repeat viewing and it's still solid with just a single watch.

This film's pretty racist, it's hard to deny that, and with Indiana Jones being an ode to classic adventure stories found in 30s and 40s pulp novels and film serials that is almost part of the charm but it still doesn't quite sit right with me.
