Type of movie you watch and go oh I love films actually I am very blessed to experience cinema. Just wow. Just so good.

There’s a beautiful rhythm to it all. A theatrical quality that really mesmerises you. The violence is impactful without being over the top gruesome. Especially that one scene with the fire is just astounding.

I love the complexity of the protagonist. He isn’t corrupted by the oil or the money he’s just like that lmao. He’s…

I feel like you’re either really on board with Bong Joon Ho quirky off-kilter style or you’re not. Personally I’m a fan. Tone is really well executed and the film engages with ideas of consciousness and the worth of life in a pretty refreshing and fun way. It doesn’t really get into any depth with the questions it poses about the nature of sentience and life but I think this is for the better. It’s been done and it’d be…

Very good especially stylistically. Some shots and scenes are jaw dropping, very memorable, evocative, innovative. I was transfixed by much of it. Loved the theatricality of it, the heightened use of language, this non-naturalistic dreamlike hyper real world. The play-like medium two shots, the ways the sequence seamlessly flows. Technique-wise, it's a master piece. Still, I found myself wanting more from the film. I can't really place it. And I wasn't really all that scared, to be honest.

Love how distinctive Denis Villeneuve’s style is. A Great sequel. It brings something new to the table and enhances the original story; it feels like there’s a reason for it to be made. There’s, interestingly, this stylistic line I can connect with the two films, the similar pacing, ambience, etc.

If there’s one thing I’ve noticed Villeneuve is amazing at, it’s showing us the subtle intricacies of the futuristic world the characters are living in.
