bong joon ho does it again 👏 equal parts comedic, smart, informative, brilliant & witty, a protagonist that keeps you wanting more (which may or may not be the main case of this film). i want a sequel even though this film stands alone so well on it's own. this is a war film that actually says more about our current climate than i have seen from anyone else. the social commentary of the dialogue is so clever and thought-provoking. could write a million essays about this film. will rewatch.

not once did i know what was going to happen next in this film and i enjoyed every second of it. the pacing was interesting but i admire sean baker’s work and can sense similarities to other works that made it feel familiar and comforting. one of the best heartfelt, real, honest and not to mention incredibly smart comedic writing pieces about the things we do for love. best film to start the year on.
