Nosferatu 2024
An absolute disgrace. Stunning visuals and phenomenal acting, along with the legacy of Nosferatu, are ruined by directionless storytelling. Robert Eggers once again flies completely off the rails, cobbling together a barely cohesive plot and a soulless mess. This has no charm or narrative depth. Count Orlok is reduced to a reanimated pervert, stripped of motive, character, and backstory, who’s obsessed with an... old fling? Shoutout to the cast and crew—you deserved far better.
Laughable, and the biggest disappointment this year alongside Longlegs.

It's a Wonderful Life 1946
(For a film assignment) I appreciated the film for its impact during its time. Years later, it feels a bit dated and cheesy, but there were some surprisingly modern shots that are rare even today. The acting was outstanding and really carried the film for me. Even if it’s not perfect by today’s criteria, it was a groundbreaking piece in its era and remains a fun family Christmas classic.

Poor Things 2023
Weird, pedophilic, misogynistic, and perverted writer/director. The whole movie is about grown men taking advantage of a baby and having a wide variety of graphic sex with it, but somehow it’s supposed to be “feminist” because the baby “likes it.” The only thing that keeps this film from being illegal is the fact that the baby is trapped in its dead mother’s sexy adult body. YIKES.
