The Martian 2015
I shouldn’t have watch this so soon after reading the book. Matt Damon is not who I would have pictures for this role. But he did a good job and I warmed up to him. My husband and our friend kept awake through it and that’s the highest praise any film could ask for.

Hugo 2011
Delightful film with a stellar cast, Hugo celebrates the magic of movies. My favorite part is seeing the wonderful and creative ways the oldest filmmakers would bring their visions to life. Even knowing the tricks, both old and new to crafting a film does not decrease the magic in any way.
