Phffft 1954
This movie was cute, but nothing special. It's just a typical romance movie, except they get divorced in the beginning and are both absolutely terrible at dating and very petty.

This movie is way more progressive than I thought it'd be. The conversation between Toddy and Norma had me worried for a second, but Toddy, the man that he is, had an answer ready that just about made me fall off the couch laughing.
Also, I'm absolutely in love with the costumes and makeup, especially in that first Victor-as-Victoria scene. The wig was so sparkly that I couldn't keep my eyes off it.

I know it's ironic, but I didn't like the ending.
It's a very Hollywood happy ending, and to be honest I wish he just got sniped at the end. Or that he at least got held somewhat accountable for the stuff he did. But of course that didn't happen, he had Hollywood, the master of cover-ups, on his side.
Even June had a big case of Hollywood-itis. He tried telling her he was the one who killed the writer, but…
