Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 2017
Holy shit, I did not expect to enjoy this one as much as I did.
I used to say I couldn't really take Chris Pratt serious in this one because we see a more mature side of him in this, and I thought it clashed with his more comical side. WHAT WAS I THINKING.
Visuals are really intriguing. Characters, again, are written so extremely well, my god. Above mcu standards. The music is always a bonus. What the hell do I say.
If there's one thing, it's that I feel like its predeccesor did a better job at the humor. But man.
What a movie.

These movies are such a blast
man. Humor never feels out of
place. Characters are written
really well without taking it all too
seriously, knows how to balance
both the fun and drama aspect of
it perfectly. Can be a bit corny
sometimes but that's really part of
the charm.It really stands out from the rest of the MCU, really don't have anything else to add haha. Had a great time, unto Vol. 2!

Huh? People don't like it? What am I missing?
Out of the 4 movies I'm into my MCU rewatch (not counting Agent Carter since it's a show) I enjoyed and was engaged in this one the most. I feel like it does enough for Tony as a character, has convincing villains (although, granted, could've been utilized more), action and vfx are done well, performances are great. Opening scene provided for some thought-provoking conflict, one that makes a return in Civil War; how much power should 'superheroes' have, if at all?

If this movie tapped into the trauma of Kaecilius' past more, I would seriously consider this as one of my favorite MCU movies. We get where his motivation comes from yet the movie doesn't try to let us feel sympathy for him. Just a big miss for me.
