    It’s a strange watch because some moments are incredibly dated, and some moments couldn’t bettered even with equipment 91 years more advanced. It’s sort of striking that Gone with the Wind, Stagecoach, and The Wizard of Oz came out five years after this because the visual strides made are so stunning. Yet, this film endures because the suspense is real. When the moments of tension hit, you feel true concern for these characters. That anxiety gives the film a quality that persists.
