Dan Clowes work as a cartoonist has been a massive part of my life but this fails to really translate to the screen. Attempts to make what was a series of little vignettes into a bigger narrative don't really work.

Crimes of the Future 2022
I'm a big fan of David Cronenberg and it's great to see a new film by him. Especially one so chocked full of his signature style.
However themes of surgery, Underground resistance and performance art all felt very 80s and much of thenground covered here he did better in films like Crash and Dead Ringers.
Definitely an experience unlike much of what you will get elsewhere but from an old master who is perhaps playing the old crowd pleasers more than still pushing boundaries.Translated from by -
