What a magnificent film this is!
Most people get sidetracked by the visual violence in Peckinpah's films, The Wild Bunch being no exception. He has been accused of glorifying violence but that is an oversimplification. The characters in this film feel very real and they have to deal with their destiny and the consequences of their choices. Some of these choices will inevitably lead to violence. And therefore violence is presented raw and naked to the spectator eyes.

Monumental film. The only issue for me is that it gets a tad slow in some scenes. But if Jesus forgave his captors and killers, how am I not going to forgive this tiny flaw in an otherwise superb, bigger than life film. Watch out for the incredible use of narrative support in the background.
