  It’s a good movie. Wes doesn’t make bad movies. But it lacked a pay off. The sentiment Asteroid City sends is powerful: human beings will never find any definitive answers to what life throws at you, from dealing with grief, trauma, or what lies beyond the stars.

  It’s a beautiful message, but Wes’ style, dialogue and convoluted narrative decisions unfortunately get in the way. There had to be a simpler way to tell this story.
