Beach bum is a serene experience. I felt calm, at home, I laughed and I thought about my life. I felt like this is me in an alternate universe. He’s a writer that’s smokes weed all day, go figure. His philosophy is attractive, similarly to Baloo in the jungle book, who wouldn’t wanna live like that? The only thing I would have changed is be more present in the daughter’s life.

Whiplash is a fast paced small scale movie with a grandiose soundtrack. Damien Chazelles feature film debut takes you on a jazz journey through a moral dilemma about sacrifices obtaining greatness. Physical torture is ok in order to play the drums well. JK. Simmons plays the intimidating antagonist in a performance of a lifetime.
