I remember Priscilla Presley from the "Naked Gun" films. When I found out that she was Elvis's wife, I was confused. Elvis had died decades earlier, yet Priscilla didn't seem that old. There was an obvious explanation.

This is one of the most bizarre films that I've ever seen. As it's given away in the first few minutes, it's not a spoiler to say that it sees the bourgeoisie as vampires, who suck the blood out of the proletariat. I suppose that Dracula was a Count. The scriptwrite clearly knew their Marxism very well, as the dialogue goes through all aspects of the doctrine. It alternates between being absurdly funny and being a bit dreary.

The title describes the main character, who is a bit like a more annoying version of Hermione Granger. After her mum goes into a coma, her long-lost father returns from a career as an "illusionist" in Las Vegas to help. She is obsessed with finding a panther, so he takes her camping.

The precocious-brat part was trying my patience after half an hour. As I expected, she shows a different side to her character and bonds with her father. The…
