The fact that most of this movie was just rocky doing errands, talking to his friends and trying to get with a girl, and only 20% of this movie was boxing. This movie could never be made or green lit today because it would be too ‘boring’.

This movie isn’t really a boxing movie, it’s a drama, a story about Stallone, how we went from doing pornos and selling his dog to get by, and he wrote a script venting…

I think psychological horror might be my new favorite genre. Similar to Perfect Blue it blends reality with delusion quite well but if you are focusing it is fairly obvious what’s real and what’s not and I would have preferred if that was the opposite. But all in all, an interesting psychological thriller carried by an amazing performance from Bale, this guy is insane.

A bittersweet portrayal of the current HK cinema landscape. A city that’s known as the start of Kung Fu Cinema, now has seemingly lost it’s status quo.

Best martial arts movie since Ip Man, this movie fucks hard, story may be familiar but it has charismatic actors and a genuine sense of comradery between the 4 mains. The sets are very insane and my god the action scenes are so fucking fast and cool and it doesn’t stop. The final line was very poignant and befitting the current state of Hong Kong.
