Might be looking at a new all time favorite here. PTA is the master (ha!) of making movies where 30 minutes in you’re thinking “this rules what a vibe”, an hour in you’re thinking “is this going anywhere or is it gonna be like this the whole time”, then when the credits roll you start sobbing as it all hits you at once. I really admire Doc Sportello’s good-natured, curious, dazed manner of navigating the world. Movie hippies and stoners…
