Based on the internet it seems like a hot take but I did not mind this movie. I was just waiting for Santa to say somewhere in the movie that it wasn’t quite his tempo.

Better than 3 for sure. Through The Fire And Flames reference was so based. Same with the honey badger don’t care. Villain was good but thought that his defeat was a little too quick and anticlimactic though. Mega Minions contributed as much to the plot as I thought they were going to which is actually saying a lot. And then the dance scene at the end makes me question the canon ages of every character, and really the Despicable Me lore as a whole. Last time I checked, Vector was still on the moon buddy.

Other than the ending of this movie making me so pressed. This movie is almost too relatable for me (minus the “dating” parts…..). It’s really fun how there is like a strong balance between cringe and the whimsical nature of being in a relationship with the writing. I also love the direction they took in regards to the production and editing in this film, some of the shots are really fun and out of the box as with how they kind of explain what’s being portrayed internally vs reality. Overall great film, but ending is so cheesy lol.

The fact that they weren’t just playing Texas hold-em pissed me off. Also, the guy who lost the hand is definitely the fish. Simple movie, great vibes, stagnant characters minus Moose and AJ’s dad, but I think that’s what you expect with the stereotypical summer film genre.
