This is one that will absolutely require a future viewing. I left the movie being both absolutely SURE of what some of the characters and beats were trying to say and UNSURE of how exactly it all comes together. It acknowledges and explicitly references the rich tropes of his old movies while figuring out what the lasting effects of those films mean for him and his family.
