  started out as a very tough watch, what a brutal introduction but man i was hooked. i put this on because i enjoyed the babadook and was expecting something similar but i was actually blown away. every violent scene was absolutely devastating but felt purposeful if that makes sense? compared to say the violent scenes in martyrs which seem slightly more gratuitous. the film follows an irish ex convict as she tracks a small group of british military officers through…
