after hearing a gajillion things about this film i finally watched it and holy shit. i’m still unable to process what i just watched and come up with the words to describe it. not sure if it’s because of all the hype that i wasn’t able to predict the twist but GOD DAMN my jaw was on the FLOOR after that reveal. i’ve never felt such pity and despair for a character..

andrew garfield and his little notebook is just too damn cute
i didn’t leave the theater sobbing like i expected, but left with more of a lingering sadness that stayed with me. i think because the story is more or less realistic and something that can be relatable to some in the audience, it gives off a different kind of sadness than your typical sad romance movie. i’m still not quite sure what to think of the ending but the point it made was very clear, which made it all the more heartbreaking.
