why did they take just him and where are they taking him ugh bothered me for a second
The movie sets everything up to narrow the scope for him. Putting his family away, the obsession with recreating the mountain, and suddenly creating this random love connection with a single mom.

the last sequence even though he wasn't in the frame seemlying felt like it had most emotion in the whole film.
