Fantastic wacky sci fi with Bobby working his Pattintussy overtime!!! I had a great time. Really loved the production design and commitment to a very weird tone in particular. It's not every day you get a wet and pathetic leading man to spearhead the action blockbuster.

What do we as a society owe to The Matrix? A lot, I think, but I was busy being 2 years old when it came out so I'm not very familiar with pre-Matrix Earth. I'm then at risk for overcrediting it so I'm looking forward to doing some reading later.
Very very very very very interesting to see the anxieties of the new millennium outlined in this movie. Absolutely terrible time in history to watch it for the first time.…

The gruesome slimy twisted wailing dripping viscera slathered things are like beautiful friends to me who I want to look at forever. Other people feel differently which is easy to forget. Also easy to forget is how funny the thing is. You gotta be fuckin' kiddin me line of all time that I mumble on the daily. Happy solstice!
Tears fully rolling down my cheeks during the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come sequence. Enchanted by the Ghost of Christmas Present. Michael Caine went so crazy with it, his glittering teary eyes made me sympathetically well up every time. Bit too much Rizzo and Gonzo interjection at early points though the little kiss on the snout was extraordinarily sweet. Muppet attention to production design is a delight and I think the costuming might be legitimately great? Excellent, excellent movie.
