As a film, this was alright. As a franchise film, this was great. Bridget will always have a soft spot in my heart, and this only worked to further that love for me. Struck a nice balance between callback-cashgrab and a dignifying fourth chapter for a not-always-dignified, but invariably loveable woman, who really deserved to have some things go her way for a change

This one was all about legacy:
The legacy of a king, that of a franchise in stagnation and with an uncertain future, and Sapkowski‘s legacy of hyper-sexualisation and sexism.
There’re two things they all seem to have in common: none of them last, but they all improved upon their predecessors 🤭

Great exploration of the premise. Cinematography creates tense and scary atmospheres without dragging it out too much and a smart and likeable lead brings satisfaction and suspense. The mature subject matter also does for some gut-wrenching moments.
8/10 for a very entertaining horror flick

The most important feature this film has, which could otherwise be put off as a story most of us have seen or heard several times a day before, is making us feel, understand and respect the kind of lifestyle these people are living.
It might just be a poignant…
