Enjoyable amount of tomfoolery, with a blockbuster budget and Mark Ruffalo in goof mode a la poor things. Story was kinda small for such a big concept, felt there was lots of elements to be explored that fell by the wayside for simplicity. Ultimately what we got was a fun caricature of modern times, shot 3 years ago and in full exasperation of the Trumpfluence on 2020s pop culture; mindless hope for better whilst lead by a dangerous buffoon. Sad that Nasha never got to live out the Challengers fantasy though

An uncomfortable and tough watch, some insane performances and the cinematography was dope. Intense and raw, not sure there was any intention to handle the subject matters sensitively. Kept thinking about watching it 30 years ago for the first time compared to watching it now for the first time. I'd imagine the feeling of being coercively 'deflowered' of your innocence into thinking this was a fun coming of age film would transcend both occasions.

Every scene is a roller-coaster of emotions, handling grief, gay coming of age and family relationships. I sobbed throughout.

However, although the performances were top level, I still left feeling a bit underwhelmed. Whilst every scene felt like a poignant depiction of shared personal experience, overall I struggled to get a feel for the story in a film that was trying to tell one. Nevertheless I enjoyed All of Us Strangers, but without trying too hard to put my finger on it, felt like it was missing something.
