Neon really is *that* girl — a big swing for Soderbergh and I gotta respect it. Not revelatory, but refreshing and real, especially in this genre. Points for originality, girl dads, and Julia Fox!!

Nosferatu 2024
deliciously dark, tantalizingly dreadful, and metal as f*ck — Nosferatu is a gorgeous nightmare you won’t want to wake from. Unlike his blood-sucking subject, Eggers breathes life into the horror that is the remake epidemic plaguing Hollywood. Arrival 2016
I can’t believe I haven’t rewatched this since 2016... turns out its impact is evergreen, and watching someone experience it for the first time is just as beautiful as your own maiden voyage. Where Interstellar enlists sci-fi to portray the terror of temporality, Arrival utilizes it to confront our universal choice — what we do with the time we have.
Stunning, brave, and robbed of so many accolades… the film that made me fall in love with Denis. 🥲
