He hates working, loves cocaine, and assaults several police officers, so yeah it’s basically a perfect movie for me….oh and the official Paddington Letterboxd loved it too!

The Searchers 1956
4 stars for the craft. Ford’s direction is incredible and this was a breathtaking piece of work - but holy shit was some of that tough to watch.
I get that Wayne is playing an over-the-top racist to help show that our western heroes are just as savage as the ones we demonize. Nice. But woof, brother, the depiction of the natives… It was a different time, yes, but I’m a now me and found a lot of it hard to stomach.
Very cool that the mixed kid is the only one with a moral compass - that’s the shit I do like.
