A fascinating interrogation of what high school culture of the 2010s. It was nauseatingly twee, exactly as I remember.
The politics of cops, surveillance, and adults among children (teenage children, still children) where incredibly fraught! The movie did at least have the self respect and self awareness to drag the reboot industry in a couple of very funny jokes.
I'm finding Channing Tatum to be a refreshing bisexual comedy king in every role. All others either sex pests (Jonah Hill, Johnny Depp) or Brie Larson. She did fine with the Kansas flat character given.
