Thelma & Louise 1991
The ending feels simultaneously sad and triumphant. If the film had been made today, I expect our protagonists would have likely had an only triumphant ending that would have left you with less complex emotions at the end. Which wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing, just a different one. Choosing complexity over queer joy is a common theme among older movies, and I hope to see more movies in the future that focus on queer joy.

Catch Me If You Can 2002
Pretty solid film. Favorite part was probably when he got arrested outside of his mom’s house. Wasn’t much a fan of the way he became the FBI’s bitch at the end.
