  completely incoherent and designed towards the usual late tim burton target audience of hot topic middle schoolers (for whom dgmw it will be developmentally appropriate to adore it) but if he’s considering coming “back” he could do a lot worse than putting monica bellucci in a series of giallo pastiches

  Fun! Gross! Who hasn’t watched a German Expressionist movie and wished it had a little more pep in its step? Hated to see that fucking nosferatu.

  BANGER. bitchy, court-intriguey, insane cast. incredible theatrical experience, lots of laughter in a bought-in, happy-to-be-experiencing-it way. sincerely hope ralph fiennes gets an oscar nom. love a performance where a camera rests on one actor's brow (or sometimes shoulders) for the duration of the film. loved when he experienced a single taste of ambition at the three-quarter mark and immediately got exploded by old testament god. death of stalin meets the best aspects of a really good poirot. (also an astonishingly optimistic election year movie??)
