Under the Tuscan Sun 2003
Warm, fuzzy, smooth brain movie. Watching Diane lane dance in lingerie after getting laid for the first time since her divorce will be imprinted in my brain forever. As will Lesbian Sandra Oh. I need ten more lesbian Sandra Oh movies/tv shows, STAT.
It’s also a sweet tale about found/chosen family. Interesting turn for a white lady divorcee movie to take! Friendships can be so romantic❤️

One of Them Days 2025
First of all - I love a movie that takes place over one day. Second - the setting felt so real and lived in. Third - Sza!!!!!! I spent the entire movie watching her as an actress and not even THINKING about how she is also an amazing singer/songwriter. She is Stunning. Keke Palmer has maybe the most charisma of all time. This movie is a romp. It can be over the top but that’s definitely on purpose. You will laugh a lot. It’s pretty heart warming too. I went in with low expectations, and I have nothing snarky to say.

Let's Start a Cult 2024
As a very big fan of Stavros this will be a biased review. I also saw this at a premiere (brag), so biased again. They talked about how they filmed it in 3 weeks on a shoe-string budget. It felt unique in its premise and approach (dumb guy misses his cult’s ritual suicide, what comes next), and also…

Chicago 2002
It’s crazy to watch something for the first time and yet recognize so many of the songs from being a part of the *culture*. Queen Latifa, Catherine Zeta Jones, Richard Gere, and Renee Zellweger are performing like their lives are on the line. And when Christine Baranski shows up??? Come ON. I believe this movie is the definition of ‘a romp’. Hilarious that the plot of Chicago existed before true crime podcasts were a thing. This show read us to filth LONG AGO.
I would’ve enjoyed even more Catherine Zeta Jones.
