I’m not quite to the level of film bro to be able to unpack all of this. There’s so much going on, Greek mythology is involved somehow, and this is beyond my scope of analysis.

When people told me that Full Metal Jacket was the most normal Kubrick film, I was doubtful.
I was also wrong. I’ve never had a movie be so unnerving and unsettling. It’ll make you uncomfortable in ways you didn’t know you could be uncomfortable.

This might be my first Nicholson film and he’s fucking terrifying in this. Similarly maniacal to Phoenix Joker. Fantastic performances by every character
