  Beautiful performances all around (especially from Hepburn, Poitier, and Tracy). Definitely an important piece considering the era in which this was released; the film illustrates their message in big bold letters to really drive their point home to audiences.

  They were just making movies out of anything. What do you mean a little girl summoned an angelic baseball team that performs miracles for a losing baseball team through prayers?

  It's truly refreshing to see films set in Hawai’i that actually tell the stories of those who've lived there. Normally, films use Hawai’i as a backdrop and reiterate typical clichés rather than incorporating the rich and diverse culture, history, and stories of the people living here.

  I do hope to see more rising filmmakers from Hawai’i as it is important for people to know that we have stories to tell as well.
