The 20 years of intense discipline and dedication really show. Particularly in the opening 30 minutes. Truly spectacular and sickening stuff. Unfortunately, following that 30 minutes is something a lot less solid. Meandering pacing and that dreadful repetitive feeling start to set in. In terms of films about men in the entertainment industry who torment all the women in his life, this one isn’t just “man this guy sucks why is he like this,” it actually feels like it is trying to dig deeper.
