  "lets make a movie" they said. "What kind?" I asked. "A clichéd, loosely scrapped together story with severely underdeveloped stories and plot holes galore. Half star for NWA another half star for the lonely island cameo.

  As a biracial black dude this film made my black side feel heard about how the media portrays Afro-American culture. It wasn't there to attack but instead try to communicate the problem with how the majority of our media portrays us from books to news to film and TV to even tiktoks.   An emotional rollercoaster...

  Despite being the stereotypical 80s coming of age story for a tween this one just hit hard. It is true no one has friends like the ones they had when they were twelve. Problem is you and they grow up and grow distant.
