  i really wasnt that convinced by Hiddleston's acting and couldn't find the film engaging (maybe because i'm not a fan of country music?) the cinematography was great and the silhouettes worked brilliantly for character development/representation.

  watched this on an Emirates flight, so it was censored. i'm unsure how much I missed due to censorship, but probably a good chunk. overall very well constructed and the editing pace was very dynamic; beats worked well for emotional effect. there was a great connection between davis and chris.

  i'm currently studying sound design in my film course, so this was very educational. it made me uncomfortable, anxious, and upset by using sound (or the lack of it). I can't decide if i like it or hate it though
