Some good scenes, but mainly got bored by this movie :/
Even though it explores some deep themes, which I usually like, I was disappointed how quickly those themes where abandoned and didn't actually add a real context on character's mindset or anything.
It certainly is a choice made by the producer, and I beleive this is influenced by the movie's splitting into 12 chapters.
I feel like the movie was meant to be poetic in the 2/3 beginning, but it didn't really led to this vibe. Have I missed something in this movie?..

Great movie, a classic that has been known for years now, which is still outstanding.
What made me appreciate this film more than other ones on WWII, is the fact that they used an 8 years old kid's POV to illustrate such a thematic.
I think this movie's purpose wasn't to teach the history of the Holocaust (if it was the case, it would've been failed due to the hypersimplification of the context), but was more about how naïves children AND adults are, how endocrined a human can become, and especially how biased we are by our environnement.

It's a parody, you won't find any greatness of cinema in there because this is not the point.

Une belle brochette d'acteurs, un bon budget de réalisation, une thématique actuelle. Un film à la hauteur de ces critères, avec une bonne de sarcasme qui reflète l'incohérence du monde et qui moque nos actions sociétales.
Le film ne tourne cependant pas autour du pot de la thématique et, de même, est peu subtil. Cela a pour avantage de faire passer un message clair à tout le monde, certes, mais au dépit de la subtilité qui aurait pu être appréciée. Un choix qui déplaira sans doute à certains, sans pour autant que cela ne gâche le plaisir du film.
