Yes, Manhunter is definitely dated. Yes, it's a bit hokey at times. Even some of the acting is pretty embarrassing to watch.
And yet this film has still managed to hold up throughout the years. The negatives of this movie aren't hard to miss but they don't ruin the movie. It still manages to be highly enjoyable, nostalgic, stylistically interesting and even thrilling, suspenseful or creepy at times.
It wouldn't be unreasonable in my opinion to compare Manhunter to Miami…
