When you hear the antagonist of the film (Rasputia) beg the question to the audience of “how u doing?”. It’s an invitation to the viewer to feel Norbits struggle. Is Norbit to suffer at the hands of Raputia his whole life? Is he to deprive himself of true love due to the danger the antagonist poses? Would he be doing well?
More importantly I feel this film offers the same question to the audience. Despite the risk, are we not to seek self-actualization ourselves? Is your life one that you see yourselves living? See yourself happy?
